This poster was printed in 1958. The "Damn Yankees" poster was made to promote the 1958 film adaptation of the 1955 Broadway musical of the same name. The musical and film are based on Douglass Wallop's novel, "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant," which is a modern retelling of the Faust legend.
