The Chesterfield "Buy Here For Dad" advertisement was created in 1953 for Father's Day, which was on June 21st that year. It was made to promote Chesterfield cigarettes as a gift for fathers.Chesterfield cigarettes were introduced in 1873 by the Drummond Tobacco Company and later acquired by the American Tobacco Company in 1898.
